With the arrival of July, a time when many chase predictable, ready-made formulas to align with the latest fleeting trends, we at Éclat Magazine have chosen a completely different path. We decided to weave from the summer heat a different kind of brilliance—an Éclat that does not merely touch the surface but dives deep into artistic and human identity. It is my distinct pleasure to share with you the fruit of our extraordinary collaboration this month: the debut cover of the brilliant Egyptian actress, Basma Dawood, marking her first—but certainly not her last—appearance with our magazine.

This collaboration was far from a routine summer cover shoot; it was a conceptual and visual workshop through which we formulated an entirely reimagined vision for the season. Through this cover and its accompanying features, Basma Dawood proves that she is entirely peerless. In an era where conformity has become the easiest vehicle to generate “trends,” Basma’s vision breaks the mold. She delivers an artistic statement that rebels against the mainstream, proving that the strength of a young female presence in cinema and drama is not measured by how well it rides the wave, but by its capacity to define its own space with serenity and poise. “True brilliance does not stem from following trends, but from the courage to redefine them.”

This innovative vision could not have transformed from an abstract concept into a living, breathing visual reality without the collective mastery of the Éclat creative family, who meticulously crafted every frame. I am immensely proud of the team led by the lens and unique lighting composition of the promising photographer, Mohamed.

Working alongside him were the architects of this aesthetic marvel: beginning with stylist Nehad Moneim, who beautifully translated the dimensions of Basma’s personality into lines and looks that seamlessly marry power with grace; to the subtle touch of makeup artist Dina Aziz, who preserved the raw, human depth of Basma’s features without pretension; and hairstylist Abkarino, who infused a contemporary vitality perfectly tailored for the sophisticated energy of July.

I also extend my deep appreciation to fashion designer Sally, our partner for this issue, whose daring craftsmanship yielded unique designs that embody the magazine’s core philosophy: merging art and beauty into inseparable elements. Our July cover with Basma Dawood is an invitation from Éclat to every reader and follower to reflect upon how passion, peace, and uncompromising dedication can create a real difference. We leave you with this issue, crafted with immense love and precision, hoping you discover within its pages the exact “brilliance” you seek.
