Gaith Ayoub: Designing Individuality Between Beirut and Dubai – digital cover 2026

For Gaith Ayoub, fashion has never been simply about clothing. It is about identity, individuality, and creating a visual language that reflects emotion, confidence, and personal freedom. Across his journey between Beirut and Dubai, Ayoub has built a career rooted in creativity, discipline, and an unwavering belief in originality — values that continue to define both his brand and his approach to the modern fashion industry.

Ayoub spent nine influential years living in Beirut, where he worked with international fashion designers and collaborated with Lebanese artists as a stylist for music videos. Reflecting on that experience, he says, “I learned so much from this country, which is incredibly rich in art and deeply passionate about fashion. Beirut is often called the ‘Paris of the Middle East,’ and it truly inspired me with its spirit of elegance, creativity, and uniqueness.”

The designer credits the Lebanese capital for shaping much of his artistic sensibility, exposing him to a culture where fashion and art naturally intersect. Yet despite the impact Beirut had on his creative identity, Ayoub eventually sought a new challenge in Dubai — a city he viewed as the ideal environment for expansion and reinvention. Explaining his decision to relocate, he says, “I moved to Dubai because I wanted my name to grow and become more widely recognized. Dubai is known as the city of limitless opportunities, where nothing is impossible.” For Ayoub, the city became a platform not only for visibility, but also for growth, inspiration, and new creative possibilities.

Behind his polished aesthetic lies a highly structured creative process deeply influenced by his education at ESMOD. The French methodology he studied there continues to shape every stage of his design journey. “Whenever I want to create a new collection, whether for myself or for a client, I always begin with the exact same process I learned at university — from creating the mood board, sketching the designs, and then moving into the fabric selection stage,” he explains. He further emphasizes the long-term influence of the institution, adding, “The French teaching methodology at ESMOD had a huge impact on me. We were guided by some of the world’s greatest fashion designers, who taught us to follow their creative discipline and professional approach in the fashion industry.”

This balance between discipline and artistic experimentation became especially visible through the launch of his fashion label, “Pluie.” Unlike many contemporary brands in the region, Ayoub introduced collections designed simultaneously for men and women, encouraging people to reinterpret the same pieces through their own personal style. Speaking about the concept, he says, “The idea that you and your sister, or you and your partner, could wear the same pieces from my collection in different ways” became central to the collection’s identity. Inspired by the symbolism of Adam and Eve, the project challenged traditional styling norms while celebrating individuality and connection.

Ayoub describes “Pluie” as “a brand that is both classic and bold at the same time,” explaining that every design is created to be styled in multiple ways. “The brand is not made by just anyone — it is created for people who love renewal, individuality, and standing out with confidence,” he says. Beyond his own label, Ayoub has also become a recognized fashion consultant, working with more than 32 emerging brands. This role has allowed him to explore fashion from a broader perspective, helping designers develop distinct identities in an increasingly competitive industry. “Working as a fashion consultant with more than 32 emerging brands requires me to fully understand each designer’s unique identity and vision in order to avoid repetition and create something truly distinctive,” he explains.

For Ayoub, individuality remains one of the most important values in fashion today. He believes many young designers struggle with originality and patience, often seeking rapid recognition without understanding the sacrifices required to build a lasting career. Addressing this issue openly, he says, “One of the biggest challenges I see among emerging fashion designers is, honestly, the lack of patience and originality.” For Ayoub, individuality remains one of the most important values in fashion today. Today, Gaith Ayoub represents a new generation of Arab creatives redefining the regional fashion scene through authenticity, versatility, and vision. Whether through his own collections or through the brands he mentors, his mission remains consistent: to create fashion that feels personal, fearless, and unapologetically unique.
