An Exclusive Cover Story: Doaa Salah on Her Greek Escape, Women’s Empowerment, and the Next Chapter

Captured against the enchanting backdrop of Greece for our exclusive cover story, renowned TV presenter Doaa Salah welcomed us for a special photoshoot and a candid conversation that flowed effortlessly as a continuous narrative, seamlessly weaving her own words directly into the dialogue.

“Nammos Mykonos is one of the most beautiful places on the island,” she shared, reflecting on her getaway. “I’m truly enjoying my time here, surrounded by warm hospitality and wonderful attention. I love places filled with energy, life, and music, but I prefer to keep my vacations short—no more than a week. For the rest of the summer, I enjoy peace, quiet, and time for reflection.” This deep connection is rooted in a lifelong affection, as she added, “Greece is the country closest to my heart. I have some of my most beautiful memories there.”

Delving into her perspective on modern connectivity and public life, she explained her guarded approach to fame: “I don’t believe in being on social media simply for the sake of being present, and I don’t like putting my personal life on display. I prefer to share only simple, genuine moments that have real meaning for my audience.” That intentional restraint extends to her career choices as well, noting, “I’m not afraid of stepping away from the media spotlight because I don’t believe in repetition. I firmly believe that when you choose to be present, your presence should be distinctive, meaningful, different, and fresh.”

At the heart of her professional identity remains an unwavering commitment to empowerment, which she described as deeply personal: “Women’s programs and women’s rights are my life’s mission—something I could never forget or turn away from. Women are at the heart of my success; they believed in my vision and played a major role in shaping who I am today. I have never abandoned them, and I never will.” This lifelong dedication recently culminated in a major milestone, as she reflected on her literary debut: “My book took five years of dedicated work, and I began writing it in 2021. It celebrates 50 inspiring Arab women who have made a meaningful impact across the region. She Is Arab (هي العرب) has been a dream of mine for 20 years.”

Looking toward the horizon, she outlined her current professional focus: “At this stage of my life, my full focus is on growing my company, strengthening its name and reputation, and expanding our television and drama productions.” Yet, behind the driven entrepreneur lies a deeply romantic spirit, as she concluded with personal dreams for the future: “Yes, I still dream of finding someone I truly love and building a happy life together. Motherhood is also a dream I hope to experience with the person I love.” With her characteristic optimism, she added, “My dreams are limitless—so big that they almost touch the sky.”
