Gucci Captures the Essence of Escapism in Monte Carlo with the Launch of Its Latest Summer Campaign

MONACO — Italian luxury fashion house Gucci has unveiled its latest seasonal narrative, taking audiences on an enchanting visual journey through Monte Carlo to document a spirit of liberation and pure escapism. Captured in a series of dynamic, light-filled frames, the first chapter of the campaign unfolds seamlessly between luxurious swimming pools and the open sea. Featuring an elite lineup of global stars and models, including Tian Xiwei, Amelia Gray, Anuak Yai, and Elisabetta Dessy, the campaign portrays its protagonists in a mysterious state between presence and absence. As they hint at upcoming plans without revealing them, the imagery evokes a profound sense that the next moment could lead anywhere, defining a summer filled with passionate possibilities against the cultural backdrop of Monaco—a historic global stage for fashion, glamour, and celebrity allure.

The curated wardrobe moves effortlessly through these changing coastal atmospheres, presenting a transitional collection that bridges the gap between day and night. For women, the lineup introduces elevated summer essentials infused with bold touches, sharp tailoring, and fluid silhouettes adorned with the house’s signature “Flora” print. Concurrently, the menswear selection offers casual separates and versatile denim pieces designed for all-day wear. The narrative is further enriched by an array of iconic accessories, showcasing classic handbags such as the Gucci Jackie, Venice, and Gossip. For summer travel, the collection highlights the white leather Mercato bag, alongside duffle bags and totes emblazoned with the heritage GG Monogram. Additionally, the Gucci Madison and Melrose shoulder bags, perfectly proportioned to hold only the essentials, transition flawlessly from daytime resort looks to sophisticated evening ensembles.

Central to the visual language of this campaign is the subtle threads of the “Flora” print, an artistic composition that has maintained its core position within Gucci’s aesthetic identity since its creation in 1966, celebrating its diamond 60th anniversary this year. Originally designed by illustrator Vittorio Accornero at the request of Rodolfo Gucci as a personal gift for Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco, the print was envisioned as a vibrant, bountiful field of flowers incorporating thirty-seven distinct colors, debuting first on a silk scarf. This historic origin places the print in a perpetual dialogue with Princess Grace, whose enduring elegance marked a definitive moment in the birth of the motif and established Monaco as a unique intersection where heritage and contemporary fashion continuously meet.

To bring this seasonal vision to life, the exclusive collection will be made available globally on the house’s e-commerce platform and at select Gucci boutiques worldwide. Furthermore, the collection will debut at Gucci’s dedicated summer resort destinations, including Forte dei Marmi, Porto Cervo, Capri, Ibiza, Mykonos, Formentera, Saint-Tropez, and Cannes, where localized seasonal selections and highly exclusive designs will add a further layer of distinction to the spirit of a Gucci summer.
