Egyptian singer-songwriter Amro El Meligy has changed—that is the literal statement he is making with the release of his third studio album this summer, Ana Etghayart (I Have Changed). The 10-track record marks a more personal and musically adventurous phase for the artist, capturing complex, heavy emotions while processing them with a commendably upbeat spirit.
A Multilingual and Bold Musical Direction
Written and composed entirely by El Meligy, with all 10 tracks expertly arranged by Sherif El Wesseimy, the album showcases a broader artistic scope. Moving seamlessly between Arabic and English, El Meligy pushes his creative boundaries further by incorporating French into his work for the very first time.
This new release builds upon the momentum of his previous successes, following Hangin’ There—which became a Virgin Megastore bestseller—and El Hafla, which produced the fan-favourite radio hit “Baros.”

Describing the project as “playful but dark,” El Meligy channels real-life emotional hurdles into vibrant, pop- and dance-inspired production.
“I wanted to share real stories that happened to me, but present them in a light, musical way,” El Meligy explains. “Even when the subject is heavy, I wanted the music to make people feel like they can dance through it.”
